They are not difficult to grow Cathy, mine are in a pot because they are not completely hardy. Compared to Dahlias you get only a short flowering period, their leaves do help to provide a tropical look if that is required.
Those who have this stuff growing well dislike it because it grows TOO well. I have not been able to grow the varieties that I wanted to get copies from. Some of those that grow in Southern California are too sensitive to frost.
What a beautiful flower Brian. I am hoping to spice up my garden next year with some Sarah Raven seed mixes.

Sadly no Noelle, it only flowers for a short period. Or if you mean the plant itself no as welll, they are not hardy.
