Our garden@19, in May, was cloaked in the joy of May flowers, starting with the Wisteria floribunda ‘Alba’ …

These pictures were taken just before our NGS May opening, when 77 visitors came on a Tuesday. We are now preparing for our next opening on Monday June 17th.

Truly beautiful – esp. love the wisteria!

Thank you Eliza, we timed this opening to show the wisteria at its best.

Wow, I never see Wisteria florbunda ‘Alba’ anymore! When I got my Kentucky wisteria, I was pleased to find that it has a white cultivar too, although they are nothing like Japanese wisteria, or Chinese wisteria.

It is an impressive Japanese variety Tony.

The alliums look wonderful – at their peak for your opening! Iris Alcazar is interesting – you may have solved the mystery of an ‘unnamed Iris’ in a friend’s garden. Hope weather is kind for your next open day.

I inherited the Iris, it was ID for me by a member of the local Iris society. Good luck with your opening.

All looks lovely, Brian – and you will have roses now too. Any dahlias yet? I love your white wisteria, and hope to create a space for one some say, somewhere in the garden… Hope the openings go well

Thanks Cathy, hopefully the roses will be out for the June opening

After the rain we are due some higher temperatures, so that should be good for them, if the rain doesn’t flatten them!

You have managed to grow one of the nicest wisterias….beautifully pruned and with lots of lovely panicles in white. The whole garden shows a wonderful harmonious colour theme…lucky visitors.
